Probate Litigation (Humor) – March 30, 2009

Originally, I planned on posting humor on Friday, but it seems that Monday may be the better day for a chuckle. The original invitation remains, if the humor comes directly to me from a subscriber email or comment, I'll give the subscriber credit for the post. So send me the humor - keep it clean (or relatively clean) and you may see your named posted here.

Today's chuckle:

Dispute Between Neighbors (supposedly a true story)

A certain town councilor in Wales had a beautiful view of the mountains, until a new neighbor purchased the land below his house and built a new home.

The new home was 18 inches higher than the planning department had approved, so the town councilor, mad about his lost view, went to the local authority to make sure they enforced the roof line height. The new neighbor had to drop the roof height, at great expense.

Recently, the town councilor called the planning department, and informed them that his new neighbor had installed some vents on the side of his new property. The town councilor didn't like the look of these vents and asked the planning department to investigate. When they went to what the vents looked like, this is what they found...

The local authority said the vents can stay since there is no planning law referring to vent design.
