So I have been a bit behind in blogging these past few weeks. With the new addition to my family (my 3rd son), life has been hectic. But, I am back and ready to role.
As a general update, Alerding Castor Hewitt continues expand as technology legal counsel in SaaS law, funding law and entrepreneurial law fields. We have some exciting new Internet-based and SaaS clients. This month we helped a client negotiate a stock purchase deal and have handled no less than thirty SaaS or software licensing deals. We are neck deep in private equity transactions as well – which is very encouraging. It is great to see many of these capital rounds end successfully. Today we helped one client close a seed round and helped another client start theirs. We closed two other angel investment rounds this past month. Companies are innovating, selling and scaling. That is just as fun as it gets.
Many of our clients have been getting good PR lately. A few that I can mention by name – a non-tech client, Triton Brewing, presented at the Indiana Venture Club last week. Fantastic presentation Mike! Another client, Stellerwind BioEnergy, was on Inside Indiana with Gerry Dick this past week. TinderBox was in the Indianapolis Business Journal this week. Pearl IRB was in the Indianapolis Business Journal a few weeks back.
At any rate, I am still spoiled rotten. My clients are some of the most interesting, creative, exciting and enjoyable people on earth. And I get to help them build their businesses.
